Ken McCoy: Committed to Progress in District 2

Hello, I’m Ken McCoy and I’m asking you to elect me as your next council representative for District 2. I’m not just a candidate, but your neighbor, your friend, and someone who truly believes in the future of Gordo.

Even before graduating from Gordo High School in 1989, I knew that I wanted to serve our great country. Immediately upon graduation I enlisted in the United States Navy and went on to serve 20 years of active military service. My time in uniform taught me many things. Amongst them were the Navy’s core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. I also learned the importance of discipline, leadership, and always putting others first.

In 2019 I was blessed to return to our beautiful hometown. Gordo is where my roots are. For me there is no doubt that this town, and its wonderful people, helped to shaped me into the person that I am today. Our community has given me much over the years and becoming your District 2 representative will give me the opportunity to truly give back to this place that we love and call home.

As your council representative, your concerns, your ideas, and your voice are what will matter the most. I promise to always listen to you. I also promise to serve with respect and to act with integrity. I believe that together we can build a stronger Gordo-A Gordo that works for us all! For two decades I proudly served our nation in uniform and now I’m ready to serve again. This time, right here at home in District 2. As your neighbor, your friend, and someone who truly believes in the future of Gordo, I humbly ask for your support, your trust, and your Vote.
